Department of Fisheries Management

In order to produce qualified manpower in the fisheries sector with proper training in the areas of inland, coastal and marine fisheries for its sustainable management and development, the Department of Fisheries Management is offering courses in both under-graduate and graduate levels. The department offers courses like Aquatic Ecology, Limnology, Water Quality Management, Fish Population Dynamics, Inland Fisheries Management, Oceanography and Marine Biology, Marine Fisheries Management. The Department also offers PhD degree.

The major objective of the Fisheries Management courses is to equip the students with advanced knowledge, modern approaches and analytical techniques of fisheries and environmental management for sustainable development, exploitation and equitable use of aquatic resources of fresh, brackish and marine waters.
